About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, you will be contracted to a minimum 4 x hours each shift commencing 0600-1000. Flexibility is a requirement in this role as you will be moved to work each day to fill shifts within our Hospitals/ Domiciliary Runs and Metro Collection Centres. This role is based from our collection centre on South Terrace.

Phlebotomists are the face of Clinpath Pathology, working in various healthcare settings, including:

• Pathology collection centres
• Hospitals
• Aged care facilities and private homes

You will be responsible for:

• Collecting blood samples with precision and professionalism
• Ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality
• Following Clinpath pathology procedures
• Providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment

Shifts & Availability:

• Work across multiple locations within a designated area
• At times, you may be required to work Shifts, Monday to Friday, between 6 AM - 5 PM (mostly 4-hour shifts)
• Hospital and Domiciliary (aged care facility and private home visits) shifts may be longer up to 7.5 hours

What we are looking for:

• Flexibility to work at different collections centres/locations at short notice
• Experienced Phlebotomist - Hospital / Domiciliary desirable
• Attention to detail - ability to follow strict quality processes
• Strong communication & customer service skills
• Ability to multitask & work under pressure
• Current South Australian Driver's License and reliable car
• Intermediate computer skills (essential)
• Right to work in Australia
• Current National Police Certificate (Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups, valid for 3 years)
• Willingness to be vaccinated for Influenza

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Pathology Collection
