About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, you will be contracted to a minimum 4 x hours each shift commencing 0600-1000. Flexibility is a requirement in this role as you will be moved to work each day to fill shifts within our Hospitals/ Domiciliary Runs and Metro Collection Centres. This role is based from our collection centre on South Terrace.
Phlebotomists are the face of Clinpath Pathology, working in various healthcare settings, including:
- Pathology collection centres
- Hospitals
- Aged care facilities and private homes
You will be responsible for:
- Collecting blood samples with precision and professionalism
- Ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality
- Following Clinpath pathology procedures
- Providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment
Shifts & Availability:
- Work across multiple locations within a designated area
- At times, you may be required to work Shifts, Monday to Friday, between 6 AM - 5 PM (mostly 4-hour shifts)
- Hospital and Domiciliary (aged care facility and private home visits) shifts may be longer up to 7.5 hours
What we are looking for:
- Flexibility to work at different collections centres/locations at short notice
- Experienced Phlebotomist - Hospital / Domiciliary desirable
- Attention to detail - ability to follow strict quality processes
- Strong communication & customer service skills
- Ability to multitask & work under pressure
- Current South Australian Driver's License and reliable car
- Intermediate computer skills (essential)
- Right to work in Australia
- Current National Police Certificate (Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups, valid for 3 years)
- Willingness to be vaccinated for Influenza
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection
